**Crisis Intervention Worker**

Effectively serving St. Paul and surrounding areas since 1984, Capella Centre has been assisting women to protect their safety, create healthy relationships, and build healthy communities. We have one full-time summer job opportunity for a Crisis Intervention Worker. Are you up for a challenging opportunity where your efforts impact the well-being and support of women?

**Accountabilities**
- Provide support, referrals, advocacy, crisis intervention, and information to individuals experiencing gender-based violence
- Support clients in case planning, goal setting, risk assessments, and safety planning
- Advocates for our clients to access resources to meet their needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Responsible for conducting oneself appropriately in a crisis while engaging with clients from various cultural backgrounds
- Maintain themselves with composure, be non-judgemental, and exhibit empathy when they encounter clients with visible signs of assault and injuries because of domestic violence
- Effectively complete all documentation in an accurate, concise, detailed, and professional format
- Work all shifts on rotation including weekends, nights, and statutory holidays as scheduled
- Complete Special Projects as assigned

For the right individual, this opportunity could become a full-time position starting in September.

**Hours of Work**

To meet the needs of our clients, this position will regularly require weekend, night, and statutory holiday attendance in addition to weekday shifts.

**Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. Education in social work and crisis intervention will be considered an asset. These positions are reserved for those between 15 and 30 years of age.**

**Salary**: $20.70-$24.72 per hour
