**Job Summary**

Zanon Speech Therapy is locally owned and operated and believes in supporting children's speech and language needs in a professional and caring environment. Zanon Speech Therapy is looking for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to work with infants and children from preschool to young adulthood. We are looking for a creative, dynamic professional to add to the team. Flexible hours with lots of potential for growth. In-person therapy with telepractice/virtual work options.

**As a Zanon Speech Therapist, you would**:

- Enjoy the luxury of working in a friendly office centrally located between Kanata, Barrhaven, Greely, Manotick, Gloucester and Orleans
- Have access to therapy tools and assessments
- Spend more time and energy on therapy vs. paperwork, commuting, etc.
- Flexible hours
- **Responsibilities**_:

- Provide Assessment and treatment to children and teenagers with various communication disorders and speech challenges. The age range of children serviced is from preschool to school age, including teens with the potential to work with adults.
- Communicate and collaborate with colleagues (SLPs), parents, as well as with CHEO/LHIN SLPs, teachers and Doctors as needed
- Educate and train clients and families to support carryover of skills and collaborate in supporting the client
- Provide timely documentation of therapy sessions, evaluation reports, progress reports and discharge documentation
- Uphold the standards and ethics prescribed by CASLPO and/or SAC

**Qualifications**:

- Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited university program
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist
- Member in good standing with CASLPO; SAC certified is an asset but not needed
- Professional liability insurance coverage of at least $2,000,000.00 per claim as per CASLPO by-laws
- Experience working with children/youth with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, stuttering (LIDCOMBE), PECS, AAC
- Experience assessing and providing treatment of language impairments, articulation and phonological delays, stuttering, apraxia of speech
- Hanen certified an asset
- LIDCOMBE trained/certified an asset
- PECS trained/certified an asset
- Experience with AAC an asset
- Experience providing parent training
- Experience working with adults (accent reduction, aphasia, etc.) an asset but not needed
- Able to work _independently_, organized, highly-motivated
- Sound clinical judgment
- Excellent time management and organization skills to manage a frequently changing caseload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible availability
- Fluent in English (mandatory) and French (preferred); other languages considered an asset
- First Aid/CPR is an asset

**Job Type**:

- Subcontractor, hours are flexible (to be discussed)
- This position is ideal for those SLPs who are looking to work in private practice with flexible caseloads and work hours
