Through its mission, Oxfam is committed to promote the well-being of children, youth, women, and men. Oxfam has a zero-tolerance policy towards any behavior that violates its code of conduct, including sexual harassment, exploitation, abuse, as well as lack of integrity, corruption, and fraud.
**CONTEXT**
Oxfam-Québec is implementing the Voluntary Cooperation Program (VPC) entitled “Equality in Action” working in close collaboration with Oxfam teams in the countries of intervention. This program will take place over a period of seven years (2020-2027) in about ten countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.
The VCP aims to increase the performance of local partner organizations in developing countries in implementing inclusive, innovative, and sustainable development initiatives that will advance gender equality. Oxfam’s role is to support civil society organizations (CSOs) working with the most vulnerable and marginalized people to claim and exercise their rights. The knowledge, capacity and expertise of the qualified volunteers will be leveraged through short and long-term assignments with local partner organizations.
The VCP will be articulated within Oxfam's Country Strategy while ensuring compliance with Oxfam-Québec's contractual agreements with its donors.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
In close collaboration with the Oxfam team members in Honduras and its partners, the advisor will be mandated to:
- Advise and accompany partner organizations in the elaboration of the fundraising plan and retention of specific donors as an integral part of their sustainability strategy
- Strengthen the organizations' capacities in the formulation of proposals, aligned with their institutional priorities and donors
- Propose new activities and lines of intervention based on the identified needs of partner organizations and support for the prioritization of their actions for resource management
- Identify opportunities and jointly propose actions to raise private funds
- Provide tools and strengthen competencies among partner organizations for the analysis of technical and economic results of fundraising actions
GENDER EQUALITY
- Ensure the integration of a feminist approach in the programming, implementation, and accountability of the VCP
- Contribute to the planning of articulated interventions among Oxfam's programs regarding Gender Equality and Women's Rights
- Analyze previous organizational diagnostics and assess needs for organizational strengthening and strengthening with Gender Equality
OTHER
- Contribute to an environment that generates strong teamwork relationships with all people and partners who collaborate with Oxfam, within the framework of Oxfam's Code of Conduct, safeguarding, security, partnership policies and other Oxfam policies
- Support the planning and accompanying processes of visits by the Oxfam-Québec headquarters team and the donor
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or that are closely related to the job profile and contribute to the job objectives
- Collaborate with the Communications Officer in the dissemination of the results of intervention of the Equality in Action program in Honduras
- Share and embody Oxfam’s commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against behaviour that violates the code of conduct, including sexual harassment, exploitation, abuse, intimidation, lack of integrity, corruption, and fraud
- Participate in development efforts in Canada during and after the mandate by contributing to the dissemination of the program, projects, partners, etc. through testimonials, life stories, photos, quotes, etc.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Have Canadian citizenship or permanent residence in Canada or citizenship of a Latin American country
- University degree in marketing, business or similar
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Advanced level in Spanish
- Experience in the field of international development an asset
- Adhesion to Oxfam's mission and values, including the promotion of gender justice
