- Lafarge Canada has an immediate opportunity at our Edmonton Alberta Canada location for a Quality Control Technician to support our Ready Mix Concrete operations.**The responsibilities for this position**
- Perform quality control functions including testing of plastic and hardened concrete and testing of aggregates
- Field testing of concrete
- Controlling concrete quality at the plant and in the field
- Maintain and perform detailed records

**Qualifications**
- A graduate from college or university with a 2 year degree (Associate Degree) in Engineering Technology (or equivalent) is preferred
- CCIL or ACI Certification is an asset
- Must have proven ability to be self motivated and be able to work with limited supervision
- Must have ability to acquire skills to perform job description
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Alberta driver’s license
- Must be able to work at varying start times which will include nights and weekends
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Must have good organization and planning skills with the ability to multi-task
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude
- Must project professionalism with both customers and co-workers
