**Qualifications**:

- Post secondary education in Business, Accounting or related field.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certificate is an asset.
- Two or more years of recent accounting/payroll experience is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge in computerization, including MS Office including Excel and accounting software
- Excellent keyboarding skills
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work overtime and on statutory holidays as required
- Knowledge of and adherence to Privacy Act guidelines at all times
- Knowledge of and adherence to all Corporate policies, current collective agreements, Sage accounting and ADP Payroll
- Skills: Confidentiality, attention to detail, accuracy, organization, maturity, flexibility, ability to work well under pressure, analytical, strong team player, adaptable to change, ability to set and adjust priorities frequently
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accountable for all financial processes, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, GL and financial statements.

Audits and reviews Procura for employees based on the collective agreements with the CUPE employees; Compares and verifies data and scheduling in Procura for accuracy.
Monitors staff travel expenses, top-up expenses, vacation and sick adjustments.
Processes payroll for the organization.
Helps prepare, create and distribute invoices, process payments and yearly tax letters.
Runs monthly arrears reports following procedure guidelines.
Maintains accurate record keeping for all transactions.
Month ends including journal entries to accounting software.
Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality due to access to client information, employee information, vendor information, and stakeholder transactions.
Maintains employee group benefits and pension plan.
Provides excellent customer service in dealing with employee and client billing.
Maintains, reconciles and replenishes petty cash for entity.
Supporting work off site/other organizations on a part time basis.
Performs other accounting duties as required

**Salary**: As per Northwood Scale

**Hours of Work**: 75 hours bi-weekly
