**Backhoe Operator (Residential Construction)**

**Location**: Ottawa West

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Safely operating a backhoe to perform excavation, digging, and loading tasks according to project requirements.
- Demonstrate the ability to operate the backhoe safely in confined working spaces.
- Following project plans, blueprints, and instructions to determine excavation depths, locations, and proper digging techniques.
- Performing routine maintenance and inspections on the backhoe to ensure its safe and efficient operation.
- Conducting pre-operation checks for any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, or safety hazards to supervisors or the appropriate personnel.
- Following project timelines and deadlines to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including the backhoe and surrounding job site.

**Requirements**:

- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Backhoe Operator is required
- Valid drivers license and own form of transportation
