Are you looking for a stable and long-term career? We are looking for enthusiastic and safety conscious individuals to join our Thunder Bay team as Rebar Fabricators. Join our dynamic team as a Rebar Fabricator to bend, cut, bundle, and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer's orders.

Primary

**Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Harris Rebar’s vision and values.
- This is an entry level position. Incumbent may operate any one of the following machines:

- Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths.
- Operate a bending machine to bend reinforcing steel bars to specified shape.
- Operate overhead crane to move, assemble and select material to be fabricated or shipped.
- Operate Fabmatic machine that cuts and bends reinforcing steel bars to specified shapes.
- Unload trailers and store material in storage bins.
- Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping.
- Operate power saw for cutting reinforcing steel bars to specified lengths.
- Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities with safety at the forefront of all actions and decision making
- Assist other employees in any of the above tasks.

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must have basic math skills to be able to calculate bar measurements
- Must be able to read a measuring tape
- High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical and Special Demands
- Some heavy lifting may be necessary
- Working conditions can be noisy/ dusty/ hot/ cold
- Overtime hours may be required to meet operational demands
- Must be flexible to work early mornings and late evenings
- Must be familiar with, and adhere to shop safety policies and procedures
