**Job Description**:
We are looking for a
**Business Systems Analyst**
**Student** to join our API Integration team, focusing on API products that enable our digital customer journeys.

We are on a strategic transformation journey for our digital cutomer. Designing and building state of art, reliable, performant and secure API products is a critical enabler of that transformation journey.

The Business Systems Analyst Student will analyze business problems, gather requirements, document API product specifications and contribute towards API product design efforts.
- Note: This is a student position starting in September 2023. We have positions available in Toronto, London, and Winnipeg._

**What you will do**
- Gather, elicit, define and confirm integration requirements
- Create data mapping documents between API and front end / back end
- Contribute to the creation of OpenAPI specs and JDL files
- Create southbound orchestration specs
- Document acceptance criteria for each story
- Create development stories and tasks

**What you will bring**
- Taking direction on desired outcomes, the what and why of a problem, and bringing the drive, curiosity and initiative to solve for it
- Written and spoken articulation skills
- The spirit of collaboration and thriving within a team environment
- Hands on experience with OO programming languages (JAVA preferred) and scripting (Java, Javascript, Beanshell)
- Understanding on Standard data formats including XML and JSON
- Understanding of Agile Practices
- Technical Writing - Ability to read and understand technical specifications for Specification Documents
- Knowledge of database design
- Prior experience or knowledge of ETL (nice to have) and mainframe technologies (nice to have), Domain Modelling (nice to have)
