**Pork Production Technician**

Kell Farms Ltd is a family-owned agricultural business. We provide rewarding work for our employees and support their success. We are looking for a Pork Production Technician for our sow barn located near Kincardine, Ontario.

As a Pork Production Technician at Kell Farms, you would be part of an innovative team. You would work for a supportive employer and receive lots of training and opportunity for advancement.

**Job Duties**:

- Ensure all pigs have access to feed and water
- Handle and move animals as needed
- Perform production tasks including heat checking, breeding, farrowing, piglet processing, weaning and vaccinating
- Perform regular health checks to recognize and treat livestock health problems
- Administer medications as needed
- Record various information to maintain livestock production records
- Monitor the barn environment and make adjustments to systems as required
- Perform general barn maintenance including pressure washing, disinfecting pens and other housekeeping activities
- Follow all biosecurity procedures

**Requirements for Application**:

- Desire to keep the animals and the barn in excellent condition
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to read, write and speak English
- Experience working with livestock
- Flexible availability - weekend work is required
- Self-motivated

**Compensation**:

- $16-$22 per hour depending on experience

** Reliable transportation required**

**Salary**: $16.00-$22.00 per hour
