Based in **Espanola**, **ON**, the **Survey Technician **will report to the Survey Crew Chief and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on conventional surveying services. You will be part of a team that provides a full range of traditional surveying services as well as construction monitoring, precision layout, and high-definition 3D laser scanning.

**What You’ll Do**:
The Survey Technician will be part of the Geomatics team. You will:

- Organize field equipment and supplies
- Ensure all field equipment is accounted for and maintained in good working order
- Demonstrate the essential skills related to the use of all field equipment used to perform job responsibilities
- Assist in the collection of field data using various survey instruments, levels, and GPS field equipment
- Clear away bush and trees from lines of a survey as needed

**Who You Are**:

- You have at least two (2) years experience working in the survey field (considered an asset)
- You are proficient in the use of various survey instruments, calculators, levels, and GPS field equipment or have the aptitude to learn
- You are willing to travel for site inspections and fieldwork
- You make decisions and exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives
- You can pivot and alter approach to accomplish desired results
- You are not afraid to raise your hand when you need help or guidance
- You are trusted and provided freedom to work independently but also contribute to the overall team success

- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

- A valid, Class G driver’s licence
