**About the role**

**We are looking for interns for the **below Summer Student Contract Opportunities**. **Depending on your team assignment, here is a glimpse of what you will do here (In addition to other administrative duties, as assigned).

**U**nderwriting, Commercial Lines**
- Manage the incoming requests from our brokers and distribute work to the underwriting team according to different levels of seniority and assigned roles.
- Assemble and prepare output for mailing with the same day turnaround time.
- Answer straightforward inquiries from brokers promptly and courteously.
- Work closely to develop and maintain positive business partnerships with brokers and co-workers.

**Claims**
- Prepare forms and correspondence to insurance clients, vendors and legal representatives.
- Manage file storage and retrieval process for closed files.
- Open new claims and assign appropriate claims adjusters.
- Process payments on claim files and input data to support new claims intake and handling.
- Provide support to Claims Representatives.

**What you bring to the table**:

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree/college diploma
- Available to work with us full-time, 35 hours per week, for Summer 2024 Term (May to August).
- Must be an active student during their internship OR returning to school in Fall 2024 or Winter 2025.
- You are passionate about insurance and continuing education.
- You are motivated and driven to succeed.
- You have a strong customer focus and create a positive client experience.
- You are resilient and have the ability to adapt in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Your team is important to you contribute to your team’s success by exceeding targets and being an active team player.
