Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Calgary

Employment Type: Full-Time

**Role Overview**:
As the CFO, you will hold a pivotal position overseeing our financial operations and strategic direction. Directly reporting to the CEO, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, furnishing financial guidance and leadership to drive effective decision-making and optimize our financial performance. Your role will encompass:
**Key Responsibilities**:
Leading the finance and accounting team, nurturing a collaborative and high-achieving work environment.

Managing all financial reporting aspects, including formulating financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.

Maintaining and updating financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure adherence to regulations.

Offering strategic insights to the executive team, providing recommendations for enhancing financial performance, cost reduction, and profitability maximization.

Collaborating with departmental heads to dissect financial data and bolster business ventures, ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives.

Supervising the review process, coordinating with external auditors, and ensuring timely and precise completion of annual review.

Overseeing cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to sustain ongoing operations and growth strategies.

Evaluating and elevating financial systems and technologies to streamline processes and heighten efficiency.

**Qualifications**:
CPA designation - mandatory.

Over 7 years of progressive involvement in finance and accounting roles, showcasing a proven history of leadership and managerial duties.

Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulations.

Established expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Outstanding communication abilities, both written and verbal, enabling effective conveyance of intricate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Adeptness in financial software and systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving acumen, coupled with an eye for detail.

Previous experience within the logistics and transportation sector is advantageous.

**Salary**: $120,000.00-$170,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Accounting: 7 years (preferred)
- financial management: 7 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
