Masonry Labourer

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Masonry Labourer to join our small business for a project in Langley BC. We are looking for a labourer eager to bring their skills to the team. The labourer will work alongside an experienced mason to assist with various tasks from set up, prep, mixing and loading materials, and clean up.

Wages will be based on experience in the Masonry industry.

This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and to be self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities to keep up with the flow of work.

**Duties**
- Loading / unloading of all masonry materials and equipment
- Mixing mortar using a barrel mixer or paddle whip
- Cut and shape concrete blocks using hand tools or a masonry saw as per direction
- Building and dismantling scaffolding and work platforms
- Maintain tools and equipment and a tidy job site
- May be asked to operate machines (telehandler, pallet jack)

**Requirements**:

- Drivers license and reliable transportation
- Able to lift and carry heavy materials
- Willing to work in all weather conditions
- Appropriate saftey gear: Steel-toe work boots, hard hat, visi-vest
- Comfortable working at heights on scaffolding
- Proficient using power tools and hand tools used within the masonry industry
- Proven experience as a masonry labourer is preferred; willing to train the right person

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 60 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Construction: 1 year (required)
- Masonry: 1 year (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)

Work Location: In person
