The workforce consists of teachers, office staff, custodial staff, education assistants and professional staff. We currently have a opportunity for a 1.0 FTE Long Term Occasional Integrated Home Instruction BEHAVIOUR EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT (BEA) Level 4

Start immediately - December 31st with the possibility of extension

Supporting students with barriers to attending school (mental health, behavioural needs, involvement with the youth criminal justice system, etc.)

Working 1:1 or 2:1 with clients to build skills necessary to successfully return to school

Attend meetings as a part of inter

This position is a mobile position and involves seeing clients in homes, group homes, community or school locations, often several locations in the same day

Reliable transportation (personal vehicle) and a valid G driver's license is required

The Board shall undertake to hire Employees with appropriate post-secondary education (e.g., CYW/CYCP or equivalent) and directly related experience. Suggested appropriate qualifications include:
Behavioural Science Technology

Child and Youth Worker / Child and Youth Care

Community and Justice

Educational Assistant / Educational Support

Bachelor of Arts - Child and Youth Care

Bachelor of Arts - Psychology

Bachelor of Arts - Sociology

Bachelor of Social Work

Social Service Worker (Gerontology and Immigrants and Refugees specializations not applicable)

Ontario College of Teachers Certification with minimum Additional Qualification (AQ) in Spec. Ed. Part 1
