Professional Development Opportunities

The incumbent will be part of a dynamic team of experimental scientists, where they will work with basic scientists, pathologists, academics and industry partners. They will have direct access to state-of-the-art cell culturing facilities, mass-spectrometry, next-generation sequencing, flow cytometry, and advanced imaging and computing infrastructure.

Qualifications and Experience
- PhD in Immunology, Neuroimmunology, Cell Biology or other related fields with experience in neuro-immunological assays in an academic or industry laboratory environment
- 1+ years of postdoctoral (or equivalent) independent research experience
- Working experience in biosafety containment level CL2 laboratories
- Working knowledge and experience with mouse models of disease
- Working knowledge and experience of cell-culturing, flow-cytometry, tetramer assays, molecular techniques and animal tissue and serum extraction
- Self-motivated and works independently
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

In addition, the applicant should have the following competencies:

- Qualitative research expertise
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing (in English). Strong record of developing conventional and innovative knowledge translation outputs directed at scientific experts and lay audiences
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment

The expected pay for this position is $66,924 per year. The expected start date is April 1, 2024.
