**Job Summary**:
The production cum sanitization worker ensures efficient production operations while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the plant facility. This role demands physical endurance in a fast-paced environment. Duties include operating equipment, conducting pre-operational checks, and performing manual cleaning tasks.

**Primary responsibilities**:

- Performing pre-operational quality, housekeeping and safety checks
- Operating equipment according to operating procedures to achieve the daily production target.
- Supplying all pertinent documents and reports, as may be required by management or the government, in an accurate and legible format.
- Ensuring that all products meet or exceed company and government standards for quality and composition.
- Ensuring compliance with GMP, food safety, SOPs, and other pertinent policies, procedures and legislation.
- Performing any other duties as directed by management personnel. (i.e. Helping during cleaning in other areas)
- Ability to read and understand SOPs, safety data sheets, and equipment manuals.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment disassembly and reassembly.
- Physical ability to perform manual cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Responsible for cleaning of equipment.
- Operate and maintain CIP systems and equipment, ensuring effective cleaning of production lines, tanks, and pipelines.
- Conduct manual cleaning and sanitizing of areas not covered by CIP systems, including production floors, walls, and surfaces.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning and sanitation, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Dismantle, clean, and reassemble equipment as required for thorough cleaning and sanitation.
- Inspect equipment and areas post-cleaning to ensure they meet cleanliness standards; perform swab tests and other quality control measures as required.
- Record cleaning activities, noting any issues or deviations from SOPs, and report to the supervisor.
- Participate in training sessions and stay updated on best practices in cleaning and sanitation, as well as food safety regulations.
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to schedule cleaning activities and minimize downtime.
- Ensure the proper disposal of waste materials and the clean and orderly storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- A willingness to work in varying temperatures, and around food allergens and cleaning chemicals.

**Skills and qualifications**:

- A minimum of 2 years related production experience in an industrial plant preferred.
- Must be able to achieve a working knowledge of production, housekeeping, sanitation.
- You have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- You have excellent performance and attendance records.
- Knowledge of HACCP Programs, and housekeeping an asset
- Can lift 25 kg.

**Working conditions**
- Shift work may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet production and sanitation schedules.
- Available to work flexible shifts, holidays, weekends, and be on-call, as the job requires.
- Availability - 7 days/week
- Initial shift times: variable between 11:00 am to 7:00pm Sunday to Thursday
- The role involves exposure to food allergens, cleaning chemicals, and wet environments.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and provided for safety.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
