Clearview Demolition Ltd. is looking for an Estimator with demolition/construction experience to join our growing team. We need someone who can help us manage a high volume of incoming requests and invitations to bid on new demolition projects throughout Western Canada. **About the Position**:
- Review and respond to new opportunities for demolition projects.
- Attend site visits, review plans & specs, develop & deliver proposals to include scope, schedule, costs, execution, etc.
- Secure contracts and ensure all required documents are submitted efficiently.
- Oversee project setup, scheduling, documentation, and invoicing.
- Engage clients in best-practices and informational discussions about potential & active projects.
- Foresee and troubleshoot latent problems (safety, scheduling, expenses, etc.).
- Ensure an ongoing stream of active and upcoming projects for minimum 3 months forward.
- Comply with company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**About You**:
- Minimum 3 years estimating and/or project management; or equivalent examples demonstrating a proven history of bidding and project completion within budgetary and/or scheduling demands.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with a variety of clients (homeowners, prime contractors, commercial & institutional property owners, government agencies, etc.).
- Strong multi-tasking, organizational, attention to detail, decision making and communication skills.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License; abstract required on hire and semi-annually thereafter.
- Must be able to travel throughout Western Canada as needed while maintaining a primary residence in BC’s Lower Mainland / Fraser Valley region.
- Must be comfortable working with smart phones, Windows, MSOffice / Office365.
- Familiarity with Merx, BC Bid, BuildWorks, Bonfire, etc. an asset.
- Asbestos awareness or abatement training is an asset - even if it’s expired.
- Must have own CSA approved work boots; company provides all other required PPE.
- Ability to contribute positively and work well with the team environment.
