Ecologist

*Overview*

We are seeking a dedicated Ecologist to join our team. If you have a passion for environmental conservation and a strong background in ecological research, we want to hear from you.

*Responsibilities*
- Conduct ecological research studies to assess environmental conditions
- Analyze data collected from fieldwork
- Utilize GIS software to map and analyze spatial data
- Collaborate with team members to prepare reports
- Use programming such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, QGIS and Adobe

*Skills*
- Advanced in Ontario plant and wildlife identification
- Experienced in plant and wildlife surveys
- Experience with GIS software for spatial analysis
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, QGIS and Adobe

*Certifications/Training Completed*
- Ecological Land Classification
- Ontario Wetland Evaluation System
- Herpetofauna Identification and Safe Handling
- Class 2 Backpack Electrofishing
- First Aid and CPR Class A
- Ontario Fish Identification
- Drivers License

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
