**Facilities Custodian**

The Facilities Custodian will work with other team members responsible for ensuring a clean work environment. The Facilities Custodian will ensure proper cleaning methods are carried out throughout the entire facility including eating areas, main work areas, washroom and parking areas.

**Hours - Part Time, Weekend shift, additional hours only as needed**

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Under the supervision of the Facilities Coordinator, the duties and responsibilities of the Facilities Custodian include but are not limited to:
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures, dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring.

Clean and sanitize bathrooms; restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas. Clean and sanitize sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in office/kitchen areas. Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered; empty all trash cans, replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary; cleaning windowsills and windows.

Steam-clean or shampoo carpets when needed (spot cleaning).

Attend to parking lots to ensure garbage is removed and report any incidents that need attending to.

Report supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Report minor repairs of heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Maintain snacks supplies in all kitchen areas including front office area, as well as travel to/from local grocery store; complete order forms for replenishment of supplies and snacks.

Notify the Facilities Coordinator concerning the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems, safety and security. Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Able to prioritize multiple tasks

Ability to work effectively with a team and work independently as needed to support the group effort
- Working Environment_

The work is performed based on a 24/7 operating call center with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities.

The work requires routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing less than fifty pounds. Moving items over fifty pounds utilizes a team lift.
- Minimum Qualifications_

High School Diploma or GED Six months or more related experience
