Production Manager

To build on our momentum, we're searching for an operations guru with experience in managing all aspects of the device processing activities in our Cambridge, Ontario lab. We are looking for a dynamic and positive person to join our team. Applicants should expect to work with people who care deeply about the environment and excel in their jobs.

We specialize in integrating circular economy principles for large businesses and governments, focusing on mobile device management (smartphones and tablets). Our approach extends device lifespans and offloads mobility-related queries from our clients' IT teams, a practice we call Delegated Mobility Management. Our proprietary technology delivers key advantages in data security, environmental sustainability, efficiency, and cost savings to our clients.

**Anticipated results**:
- Meet or exceed all KPIs
- Manage WIP levels balancing customer commitments and cost
- Embed quality measures to minimize inline and field failure rates
- Maintain data security conformance
**Responsibilities**
Planning
- Analyze and project resource requirements based on short term forecasted production plan and longer-term strategic goals
- Training programs encompassing cross-training on platforms and new products
- Lead NPI/NCI process
- Enable executives to make informed decisions in planning, resourcing and budgeting within agreed deadlines
Production
- Provide leadership, direction and guidance to the Evvo processing team
- Work directly with all team members to increase process optimization
- Timely escalation of issues or activities that require senior leadership involvement
- Track, document and report any major changes to production, team members or environment e.g. WIP Reports, KPIs
- Develop and execute continuous improvement action plans that will increase efficiencies in all activities
- Facilitate workflow optimization
- Ensures positive staff results by communicating job expectations
- Plan, monitor, and appraise employee results
- Coach, counsel, and discipline employees
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
- Meet production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Consistently meteor beat customer requirements including quality, turnaround time and production volumes.
- Assist in New Product Introduction and New Customer Launch activities.
- Ensure that the implementation of the customer solution exhaustively reflects the customer's technical needs and requirements
- Successful delivery of the customer solution on a technical perspective
- Regular communication with stakeholders
- Become a Netsuite SME
- Ensure computers, programs and other equipment are working correctly and exchanging or updating parts as necessary.
Quality
- Sustain and ensure adherence to current and future business management systems. i.e.: ISO 14001, R2, ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO27001
- Have a continuous improvement mindset
- Develop and recommend technological advancement opportunities
- Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance Plan and Procedures
- Lead the customer complaint resolution process.
- Lead the internal corrective action resolution process.
- Involvement and collaboration with management and staff as it relates to Quality/Process irregularities or production issues.
- Lead operations in continuous improvement activities to drive operational efficiencies and process movement
- Ensure appropriate training programs are in place for all products and processes ensuring personnel have all of the tools required to complete work efficiently, effectively and safely.
- Creating and updating of work instructions as necessary
Health and Safety
- Assist in Management System enforcement
- Active in all Health and Safety meetings and initiatives, including but not limited to involvement in safety information sessions, workplace audits, and recommendations on training
- Foster an open door, positive working environment, maintaining a consistent schedule of value, add production and Town Hall meetings.
- Ensure all staff embrace and abide by the goals of the Evvo Employee Handbook, including appropriate PPE
- Drive 5S program throughout the facility
- Ensure that safe conditions exist at all times within the work environment and take the appropriate action to protect the health and safety of all employees, visitors and contractors on site.
