**The Opportunity**

Western Archrib is currently looking for an experienced Timber Finisher at our Edmonton east facility.

Valuable assets to this position will include experience in wood working, measuring, cutting, shape, and operate various types of power tools. We will provide job specific training onsite.

**Duties** will include but not limited to:

- Operate a variety of woodworking power tools
- Troubleshoot quality control defects in wood beams and repair as required
- Maintain quality control, safety standards and safe work practices
- Application of laminated wood sealer and other finishing chemicals
- Use of overhead cranes on single and multiple crane lifts
- Wrapping and unwrapping beams for shipments and rework as required
- All finishing duties are performed indoors

**Requirements**:

- Standard CSA approved Steel toed boots are required, we will provide safety glasses, hearing protection, work gloves, and reflective vests.
- Attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
- Hand/power tool safety
- Attention to detail, good organizational and communication skills

**Work Schedule**
- Overtime may be required dependent on production requirements

**Wages/Benefits**
- Wage will start at $20.00hr to start. Wages will be evaluated and increased with more training, competency, and progression towards a tool operator and potential Framer with the company.
- RRSP program with employer contribution after 1 year of service.
- After 180 days of employment, workers will be eligible for sick days based on the pro-rated number of days left in the calendar year.
- Vacation pay accumulates each pay period. Accumulated vacation can be paid out at the request of the employee.
