Security Guard

**First Move Security Services** are currently seeking Part-time/Casual Security Professionals for current and upcoming projects and working for various industries. Previous work with oilfields and industrial companies will be considered an asset. This position also has exciting potential for full-time employment.

**Qualification**:

- A valid Security Guard license issued by the Alberta Justice and Solicitor General
- Good understanding of the Trespass to Premises Act
- Good Understanding of the Canadian Criminal Code relating Codes
- Currant First Aid/CPR
- Valid Class 5 operator's license or higher
- Clean Drivers Abstract (within the past 3 months)
- A dependable mode of transportation
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

**Additional qualifications to be considered as an asset.**
- H2S Alive Certificate
- A dependable vehicle
- Construction Safety Training System (CSTS 2020 Fundamentals)
- ACSA’s Traffic Control Persons for Construction (Flagger)

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
- Patrol designated areas and respond to security issues
- Control access to facilities through verification of identification
- Communicate effectively via cellphones and/or 2-way-radios
- Report and log any suspicious activities or incidents
- Follow procedures for handling emergencies (e.g., fire evacuation, medical emergencies)
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of security-related incidents
- Maintaining a high level of customer service in stressful situations

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a security guard or relevant position
- Ability to operate surveillance systems and security equipment
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Physical fitness and ability to stand/walk for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent

**Salary/Wages**:

- Wages will depend on the level of experience and knowledge base.

**Location**:

- First Move Security Services is based out of Spruce Grove, AB and provides its services to the Province of Alberta.
- This position may require travel and overnight stays.

Pay: $15.50-$20.00 per hour
