Under the guidance of a celebrity chef serving as Director of Culinary Cuisine, this pioneering location aims to redefine the region’s dining scene. As the restaurant prepares for its grand opening, they are seeking a Chef de Cuisine who brings not only culinary expertise but also valuable experience with launching new establishments.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with the Director of Culinary Cuisine to steer the culinary operations of the new restaurant, from menu development to kitchen logistics.
- Foster a positive, productive work environment as you lead and mentor the kitchen staff.
- Participate in sourcing high-quality ingredients, with an emphasis on sustainability and local providers.
- Uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation throughout the kitchen.
- Assist with managing the kitchen budget, focusing on cost control and efficient use of resources.
- Play a vital role in the restaurant’s opening, helping with both planning and implementation stages.
- Professionally represent the restaurant in all interactions with guests, staff, and stakeholders.
- Continually enhance the dining experience by keeping abreast of food trends, responding to customer feedback, and refining operational practices.
- Work with the restaurant’s management team to ensure the kitchen’s objectives align with the broader goals of the restaurant.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven culinary experience, preferably as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role in a casual premium dining establishment.
- Experience with restaurant openings is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative dishes that reflect the restaurant’s culinary vision.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of creating a positive and productive kitchen environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively address operational and kitchen-related challenges.
- Financial acumen, including experience managing kitchen budgets and controlling costs.
