**Shop Keeper at a Garden Center**

Job Summary:
Are you a gardener? Ready to embark on a “tree-mendous” adventure in our spring garden centre and summer agri-tourism farm?

As our Fruit Tree Nursery Sales Associate & Shop Keeper, you'll be our charming and friendly sales hero at our greenhouse and garden center, helping customers choose plants and pay for their tree, berry, flower or vegetable plant orders with your expert plant knowledge, exceptional customer service and cashier skills.

From welcoming customers to our farm to shop local, to answering questions and helping them find the perfect plants for their backyard or orchard, you'll be a 'garden-guru' in the plant world, sharing your expertise and passion for gardening with every customer interaction, from becoming self-sufficient by growing your own fruit, to taking care of the plants in the nursery, to sales and orders

With your creative display ideas, and keen organizational skills, you'll keep our garden center tidy and stocked with our fruiting and flowers, all while staying in the 'green' loop by keeping up-to-date with the latest plant arrivals and promotions.

As summer approaches - you’ll be delighted to offer farm, orchard and garden tours.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create a welcome environment by greeting all customers
- Providing excellent customer service by ensuring the customer takes priority and answer all questions
- Maximizing sales opportunities to achieve store targets
- Keep up to date with knowledge on current stock and incoming stock
- Keep up to date with knowledge which includes new products, promotions, and rewards program
- Complete all cashier opening and closing procedures
- Offloading and restocking of product in the outdoor nursery
- Help maintain plant displays by cleaning and organizing
- Deadhead and clean up plants
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Exceptional customer service
- Gardening experience - with perennial, shrub and/or fruit tree knowledge
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to lift at least 30 lbs
- Ability to problem-solve
- Works well in a team environment
- Creative merchandising knowledge

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:
