Overview
We’re looking for a highly motivated co-op student to join our Divisional Planning, Coordination and Support Services (DPCSS) department.
The DPCSS department, in the Claims and Rehabilitation Services (CRS) division, is an internal planning and support team for the largest division of WorkSafeBC. DPCSS supports the CRS leadership team in its planning and resourcing and supports the CRS Division in meeting its strategic and operational priorities. It is responsible for defining and prioritizing business system/intelligence needs, conducting strategy and product management, analyzing key outcomes and supporting CRS operational departments to achieve their goals.
These are four-month full-time positions starting in January 2024.

**Where you’ll work**
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a **hybrid work model** that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.
In these roles, you’ll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally in our Richmond office.
What you'll do
On Day 1 in this role, you will get a chance to meet your manager and get acquainted with your team. You will spend time setting up administrative and technological essentials, and completing onboarding tasks, including security and payroll setup.
During your first week you will engage in a comprehensive onboarding program designed to equip you for success. You will be partnering and meeting with your manager to discuss your goals and align them with the team’s vision. Additionally, you will learn how our department contributes to the overall business strategy and supports the organization’s mandate.
- Gather and analyze information from a broad variety of stakeholders (e.g., senior management, line management and staff) to understand the current state and future needs
- Assist in supporting projects that align with WorkSafeBC’s strategic priorities by gathering data, conducting research, and helping to implement recommendations aimed at improving recovery outcomes and post-injury earnings for injured workers
- Coordinating/updating the DPCSS SharePoint and road mapping tool with up-to-date project information

**Your background and experience**
- **Enrolled in a business administration program or similarly related program**:
- Working knowledge in the following areas would be an asset: data analysis, project management, business process improvement, research and innovation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Exceptional attention to detail required.
- Experience with SharePoint would be an asset.
