JOB DESCRIPTION - CABINET MAKER

Media 6 IMG (IMG) is a well-established manufacturing company with over 20 years of experience specializing in custom cabinetry and millwork, located in south Mississauga. We manufacture store fixtures for clients throughout North America, working with wood, melamine, plastic laminates, acrylics and metal. Position: Cabinet Maker

Type: Full-Time Position

Location: 974 Lakeshore Road E, Mississauga

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Read, analyze and interpret shop drawings and cut lists
- Experience with various complex builds
- Trim joints; fit parts and sub-assemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints
- Ensure fit of assembled units
- Meet all quality requirements with regard to fit and finish
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain a safe work environment following all Health and Safety guidelines

**Skills and Requirements**:

- 3+ years’ experience as Cabinet Maker
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret shop drawings and cut lists
- Kitchen cabinetries experience an asset
- Extensive knowledge and ability to use variety of power tools
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Be a team player by displaying a positive outlook, communicating effectively, and working cooperatively in a team environment

**Salary**: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift

- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
- Wood cabinet making: 3 years (required)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
