PRT/IFCO Seedlings operates a diverse network of nurseries in Canada and the United States enabling us to grow a wide variety of high-quality container forest seedlings for all climatic and site conditions. Annual production of 630 million seedlings makes PRT/IFCO the largest producer of forest seedlings in North America. We operate 5 bareroot nurseries across the South and 23 containerized operations.
**Job Description**:
**Position Summary**:
The Grower will be responsible for the following:
- to operationally assist, co-ordinate and train forest nursery workers in required nursery work activities;
- to keep neat and accurate records including computerized record keeping systems;
- to operate computerized and other control systems;
- to maintain, repair and upgrade nursery facilities and ensure proper maintenance of equipment in use;
Weekend work and shift work will be required.

**Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities**:
The minimum qualifications for the position will be;
- Completion of a diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture or Forestry and be willing to obtain a pesticide applicator certificate.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Must also be able to operate greenhouse equipment and climate control systems,
- Coordinate and supervise operational tasks,
- Task co-ordination: working in a team atmosphere;
- Work with mínimal direct supervision and perform basic maintenance on facilities and equipment.

PRT Hybrid, located in Pitt Meadows BC, is situated in the beautiful lower mainland just a 45-minute drive east of downtown Vancouver.
