**About the Position**:
Terra is seeking a highly organized and focused individual to take on the coordination of our health and safety program in a full-time capacity at our downtown Victoria office. Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The HSE Coordinator will be required to promote safety attitudes, safe work practices and environments as well as manage, maintain, and administer the Health and Safety program with the objective of minimizing accidents and injuries while adhering to client and industry requirements.

**Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to**:

- Organize, manage, maintain, and administer the Health and Safety Program;
- Maintain existing health and safety compliance/certifications with COR, SAFEBC, ISNetworld etc.;
- Identify safety requirements and relay to all crews in a proactive manner based on individual project needs;
- Identification, development, and provision of appropriate health and safety related information, instruction and training;
- Complete internal and external safety audits as required;
- Monitor and advise on legislative and technical changes relating to health and safety;
- Familiarity with Workers’ Compensation Board regulations and policies and provide support to staff;
- Conduct monthly safety meetings and administer health and safety alerts as needed;
- Coordinate and conduct incident investigation reports, root cause analysis of incidents and effective corrective actions;
- Relay required safety information and training to all new hires;
- Maintain, and report on, safety and health records and statistics;
Duties associated with this position will adjust to meet evolving demands within the company. Confidentiality, diplomacy, and tact are critical, as is the ability to consistently meet deadlines.

**Qualifications**:2 years in a similar position, strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, proficient with MS Office Suite, Post-Secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety (or other related studies) an asset, but not required.
