**About NetPlus College of Information Technology**:
NetPlus College of Information Technology is seeking a skilled and experienced instructor to lead our CompTIA Security+ certification course. Our mission is to equip students with the practical knowledge and skills they need to pass their certification exams and excel in cybersecurity roles. Our approach emphasizes interactive learning, hands-on labs, and real-world scenarios to prepare students for the dynamic and fast-evolving IT security landscape.

**What We’re Looking For**

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Deliver engaging and practical lessons in CompTIA Security+, covering all essential topics such as network security, risk management, cryptography, and more.
- Break down complex security topics into easy-to-understand lessons, ensuring students grasp the full curriculum.
- Ensure students progress through the entire Security+ course, complete labs, and are thoroughly prepared for certification.
- Guide students through practice questions, labs, and mock exams to ensure they are exam-ready.
- Stay up to date on cybersecurity trends and best practices and integrate this knowledge into the course.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Real-world experience in an IT security or cybersecurity-related role is an asset (e.g., security analyst, network security engineer, or cybersecurity consultant).
- Proven ability to teach effectively with a focus on interactive, lab-based learning.
- Strong understanding of key Security+ domains, including: Threats, Attacks, and Vulnerabilities, Architecture and Design, Implementation, Operations and Incident Response, Governance, Risk, and Compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex security concepts.
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students to help them succeed in their Security+ certification exam

**Course Format**

Typically, one class per week, either:
Mornings: 10 AM - 2 PM, or

Afternoons: 3 PM - 6 PM,

Classes may be scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays. This is a part-time teaching role, suitable for professionals looking to share their knowledge while continuing to work in the field.

**Work Location**

In-person at our Scarborough, Ontario location (M1P 2L9).
