**Position Description**:
Type 1 Diabetes TrialNet, a large NIH-sponsored multicentre study group (trialnet.org) is hiring a Clinical Research Project Manager. TrialNet carries out a large cohort study of family members of those living with type 1 diabetes who are at increased risk of developing type 1 diabetes and clinical trials of therapies to intervene in the process that leads to diabetes. The research program also includes a collaboration looking at detailed analysis of the immune response in diabetes as well as coordination with new studies of screening for risk of type 1 diabetes in Canada.

Here’s What You’ll Get To Do:

- Be a member of the study team for Type 1 Diabetes TrialNet, an NIH-sponsored study group
- Keeping abreast of regulations and policies governing clinical research and communicating to research team members.
- Developing policies and procedures related to the research program, ensuring external and internal regulations and guidelines are followed.
- Participating in audits, site visits and monitoring
- Developing and monitoring timelines for existing studies and balancing the demands of multiple projects.
- For TrialNet sites across Canada, supporting the studies, including participation in selection, training, study implementation and ongoing communication.
- Assisting with the development of promotional strategies
- Encouraging and fostering collaborative relationships with the healthcare team at SickKids, TrialNet Coordinating Centre, other Diabetes centres and community agencies.
- Training, supporting and coordinating project staff.
- Developing, managing and forecasting study budgets.
- Coordinating TrialNet site involvement with collaborating studies

Here’s What You’ll Need:

- Master's degree in Epidemiology, Health Science or a related field with a minimum of three years experience in clinical research. Alternatively, you have with 5 - 7 years' related clinical research experience.
- Certification as a clinical research associate (e.g., SOCRA accreditation) would be an asset.
- GCP training
- Experience in managing research teams and multiple studies
- Experience with academic research, pediatric research, diabetes and/or with working with children and families is an asset.

Experience/Skills:

- Ability to function independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, facilitation and project management skills.
- Strong teamwork, leadership and mentoring skills.
- Proven skills in study and team coordination, grant writing and budget management.

Employment Type: Full-Time Contract with modified benefits (i.e., health & dental). One year contract, strong likelihood of option for renewal
