**Position Overview**:
To plan, organize and direct the activities of assigned personnel to meet safety, productivity, schedule, quality and administrative objectives and standards of the department. To ensure these activities are performed in accordance with the approved applicable standard plant procedures (SPPs) and with current technical data.

The Production Supervisor will report to Electronic Systems in Hammonds Plains.

**What You Will Do**:

- Supervise, to the appropriate level all component repair and manufacture to ensure that work is completed safely, to acceptable standards, within productivity objectives and schedule
- Maintain and review department employment records
- Ensure that the work is recorded correctly and completed in a timely manner
- Ensure that technical reference, data and work instructions to which maintenance is performed are verified and correctly utilized by the individuals performing the work and that any changes or supplemental work are recorded and initiated correctly
- Ensure daily clocking reports, and Productivity Reports are reviewed for accuracy and initiate action to correct errors
- Ensure that a high standard of general maintenance, safety, and workplace hygiene is achieved and sustained
- Maintain a high standard of discipline and conduct within the workplace.
- Ensure that all tools, equipment, measuring devices, test equipment, jigs, fixtures, templates and rigging equipment are calibrated, are in safe and serviceable condition, are used by qualified individuals and are accounted for
- Ensure supervisory obligations of the AS 9100 Quality System (reporting non conformances, correcting non-conformances, correcting cause) are met
- Supervise overtime crews
- Provide On-Job-Training (OJT) as required
- Perform personnel and general administrative duties
- Stand in for the Production Manager and provide status and production briefing response at program meetings when required
- Undertake recurrent and update training as required
- Other duties as required

**What You Will Bring**:

- A minimum of six years experience (with a min of 2 yrs. supervisory or lead hand experience) in Avionics Repair and Overhaul or component manufacture, or a suitable combination of education, training, civil/military experience and record of achievement
- Must demonstrate a compliant and skilled level of task proficiency, which is acquired by course or on the job training and practical experience, for authorization for the performance of maintenance (POM) and must demonstrate a basic understanding of airworthiness requirements for authorization to perform airworthiness functions
- Must be capable of reading and interpreting technical documentation such as technical manuals, drawings and Technical Data Packages (TDPs), Work Orders (WOs), Request for Engineering Services (RES) instructions and associated data
- Experience must include shipping, receiving, picking, security, inventory control, quality control, health and safety and all other supply chain service requirements
- Ability to interface with suppliers and customer management
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues in the time which meets or exceeds customer expectations
- Strong communication, interpersonal and computer skills are a must
- Must have a strong logístical and customer service background
- Must be familiar with MS Office suite and warehouse/Inventory management systems
- Must be able to manage and support multiple tasks on a consistent basis
- Knowledge of Labour Relations and Union environments
- Must have ability to organize, schedule and plan daily activities while supporting staff with technical knowledge
- Must have ability to read and interpret statistical data relating to the effective and efficient analysis of the operation
- Must be flexible with work hours and willing to work irregular hours and overtime and rotating shifts when needed
- Must have a mature and professional appearance & behavior and lead by example at all time

- Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean & 5S activities in your area
- Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program
