**Position**: Part Time Caregiver Support Worker

**Location**: 100 Mile House, BC

**Hours**: 19.5 hours per week (hours are flexible as per program needs and may include evenings and weekends)

**Wage**: $24.48

**Summary**:
Axis Family Resources Ltd. is hiring a Part Time Caregiver Support Worker to provide one to one support to the child/youth as well as to the caregiver. The purpose of this position is to assist the youth in living independently. In this role you will identify community resources/supports and cultural connections for both the youth and caregivers, as well as assisting caregivers with integration and transition services. Additionally, this position involves assisting the caregivers with strategies and teaching life skills to deal with certain behaviours and crisis situations.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Care or related field, or training and experience
- At least 1-year direct experience working with at risk youth or equivalent education, training and experience
- Must have knowledge of community resources
- Current Level 1 First Aid (including CPR) Certification is required
- CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) Training will be provided during first year of employment, and thereafter as required by certification
- Approved Criminal record check, updated every two years by agency
- Good writing, data collection, and facilitation skills are required
- Computer literacy (including internet) is required.
- Experience with foster parents and/or caregivers
- Safe driving record, access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of $2,000,000 liability insurance will be required.
- Ability to work as a team member as well as independently
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of principles and practices in the field.
- Good organization and problem-solving skills.
