**What you will do**:

- Ensure compliance by providing effective safety support and guidance.
- Develop branch safety policies and procedures for incorporation into operational policies.
- Assist branch with the development /coordination of appropriate training programs necessary to ensure staff have the necessary knowledge to carry out their duties.
- Extensive interaction with all personnel to identify and correct unsafe conditions or work practices.
- Coordinate and support injury management.
- Ongoing completion of branch hazard assessments and inspections.
- Lead safety-related workplace investigations.
- Ensure effective coordination of the Health & Safety Committee.

**Your qualifications**:

- A minimum of **5** years of related experience
- Related post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety
- NCSO Designation is preferred

**What you bring to the position**:

- In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, WCB policies and procedures and general knowledge of the Personal Information Protection Act
- Skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
- Time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to present to large audiences in an engaging way
- Proficiency in various computer programs including Microsoft Excel and Power Point
- Alberta COR Safety Audit Certification is preferred
