We are looking for Shinglers to join our team. A shingler ensures that the roof over a building is properly covered in roofing material such as asphalt, wood, slate or copper. A shingler is employed by a roofer or building contractor and travels from job site to job site.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with a team of shinglers.
- Perform collaborative work to lay roofing materials to complete a roof job.
- Use tools such as a speed square, chalk line and hammer to layout work that must be done by team.
- Set up use of materials for group.
- Use of a power nailer, notching tool and template to complete roofing job.
- Determine need for safety equipment such as safety glasses, hard hat and ear plugs.
- Coordinate with other craftsmen such as electricians and carpenters to ensure roof is smooth and damage free.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual, Freelance

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Winnipeg, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- roofing: 1 year (preferred)
