**About Bench Brewing**:
Located in the heart of Niagara’s wine country, our farmhouse brewery is located on the site of the historic Maple Grove Public School in Beamsville, Ontario. Our brewery is a place for our guests to relax, learn, and experience the craft of brewing beer.

The Bench Brewing Campus sits across eight beautiful acres and will feature a 50hL brewing system, a tap and tasting room, a beer garden, a ‘funk house’ for our wild ale and barrel fermentation program, and our very own hops field.

**The Role**:
Reporting to the Retail and Customer Service Manager, the primary role of the Retail Supervisor is to deliver an exceptional experience to all brewery guests with authentic and enthusiastic hospitality. Retail Supervisor will be a leader in hospitality, performance, and knowledge. They will support the Retail Associates by overseeing daily operations, leading by example, always lending a helping hand, and having a thorough understand of Best Bench Standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and communicate with guests as an ambassador of Bench Brewing Company and our community
- Responsible for the overall daily experience of all retail guests
- Check schedules when working to ensure the shift is properly staffed and cutting employees when necessary to achieve targeted labour costs.
- Participate in regular beer tastings and information sessions to maintain an exceptional knowledge of all Bench Brewing products
- Work collaboratively with Retail and Customer Service Manager to develop process and recommendations on improving guest experience
- Accurately collect orders from guests and punch into POS system
- Retail opening & closing duties
- Perform end-of-day cash out procedures
- Accurately process and record payments from guests
- Performing inventory counts, stocking beer fridges, and lending a hand around the brewery
- Provide recommendations on SOPs and procedures to enhance customer experiences and drive sales
- Participate in merchandise selection to best suit the needs of Bench retail customers
- Report on consumer behaviour to leverage towards increasing average spend
- Assisting in providing responses to customer complaints to ensure effective service recovery and escalate to management when required.
- Drive sales and offer experience enhancements through suggestive upselling
- Participate in the execution of events (at times off-site events)
- Assisting in conducting monthly inventory and weekly counts of merchandise, retail beer and supplies
- Assisting in weekly case transfers of retail beer and following the correct order of case transfers
- Assisting with properly inputting and validating items in the POS system and understanding Shopify and Odoo.
- Ensure the shift is set up with all the tools and resources required to deliver an exceptional and memorable Bench experience
- Assisting in Entrenched In Bench membership program
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Reliable mode of transportation to and from Bench
- Must be Smart Serve certified
- 1-3 years experience in either beverage sales, retail or hospitality
- Possess a fun, professional and positive attitude
- A thirst for knowledge and a desire to constantly be learning about beer and brewing process
- Must be comfortable working outdoors
- Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Comfortable standing for 8-10 hours
- Must be able to lift a keg and cases of beer

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Lincoln, ON L3J 1E7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Microsoft Office: 1 year (preferred)
- Retail management: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
