**Responsibilities**:

1 Commerce Valley Dr E, Thornhill, ON L3T 7X6
- We are hiring for multiple co-op/intern positions that vary between on-site and hybrid - students will be required to work at the Markham office on a schedule based on the needs of the hiring team. COVID-19 protocols are being strictly followed._

**Program Term**
- This role is a 12-month position, with a possibility (no guarantee) for a 4-month summer extension based on work performance and business conditions
- May 1, 2023 - April 26, 2024
- Must be returning to school following the internship

**The Role**

Do you want to help improve experiences of cutting-edge AMD products? If so, AMD Data Centre team is the right place for you, where you will be involved in designing and developing automation infrastructure and solutions which enable AMD’s next generation of datacenter products

**What you’ll be doing**
- Hands-on execution on datacenter platforms for test and debug
- Design, develop and support in-house automation and infrastructure solutions
- Create and execute test procedures to validate the silicon design and software stack of datacenter products
- Debug failures in collaboration with various engineering teams to deliver quality products to customers
- Work along side several experienced product managers, both SW and HW, to drive high-impact decisions into the product roadmap and help achieve the business unit's financial & operational goals

**What you’ll learn**
- Exposure to datacenter and silicon industry engineering product life cycle
- Hands-on experience in silicon validation and debug techniques
- Strong understanding of GPU and accelerated computer architecture
- Effective communication with silicon design and other cross-functional teams

**Requirements**:
**General Qualifications**
- Between 3rd and 4th year of studies pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field/discipline
- Proven interpersonal skills, technical excellence, and teamwork
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
- Must be participating in a registered co-op program

**Preferred Technical Qualifications**
- Languages: C, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript
- Knowledge of Python Libraries, Front End Frameworks, Backend Frameworks, Databases
- Knowledge of computer software architecture (BIOS, firmware, OS and driver)
- Knowledge of computer architecture (processors, data traffic management, high speed interfaces)
- Comfortable operating in Linux command line
- Good understanding of technical documentation
