Wellington House, located in Prescott, Ontario is a 60-bed long-term care home dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents in partnership with UniversalCare, our family members, valued employees and community partners.

Reporting to the Director of Care, the Nursing Clerk position is a critical role that provides direct administrative services and support to the Nursing Team.

**As part of our team, your role as a Nursing Clerk contributes to our resident experiences in the following ways**:

- Performs all assigned clerical tasks associated with the day-to-day operation of the nursing department including writing, editing and formatting of documents, filing, mail sorting and delivery, photocopying and maintenance of resident and employee information, etc.
- Assists with the assignment of shifts on a daily basis and schedules replacement staff as required.
- Assists with the preparation of payroll for the nursing department and maintenance of payroll records.
- Purchases, receives, controls and delivers office and resident care supplies as appropriate.
- Schedules tours, care conferences and Committee meetings as directed by the Nursing leadership team.
- Works in accordance with the organization's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- A post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration or other related field from a community college or university.
- Must have a minimum of one-two years of experience working in the field of office administration preferably in the long-term care sector.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Power Point and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and detail oriented.
- Must posses excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Minimum of one year experience in scheduling.
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector check.
- Have a passion to work with the senior population.
