Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a DZ Driver

As a DZ Driver, you will deliver and recover a variety of equipment, tools and propane to and from the customer worksite. This role will drive a flatbed or roll-back truck in a variety of conditions, including urban, suburban, rural settings. Ability to drive safely in tight settings such as construction zones is required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver and recover equipment at the customer site
- Securement of equipment on bed of truck or utility trailer.
- Local or long-distance hauling of equipment and supplies.
- Perform basic troubleshooting involving malfunctioning equipment at a job site and make minor repairs.
- Learn and demonstrate Customer Service Standards for delivery service.
- Perform daily commercial vehicle inspection, with completion of necessary repairs to vehicle to ensure operational safety.
- Accurately obtain required signatures on rental contracts; pick-up and exchange forms.
- Demonstration of proper and safe equipment usage to customer at point of delivery.
- Perform other duties assigned by the manager or authorized personnel.
- Complete inspection reports for out-going and returned equipment, completing log book and trip sheets meeting all MOT and company record-keeping requirements.

Education or experience that prepares you for success:

- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid Driver’s license with DZ certification & safe driving record

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on:

- Previous experience driving, loading and unloading tools or equipment
- Mechanical skills to troubleshoot issues on-site
- Customer service focused attitude
- Detail orientation to properly maintain records

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
