**Position Summary**
The Hoarding Assistance Team (HAT) Program Coordinator will be overseeing the HAT program within Options Bytown buildings and other supportive and community housing program partners. The HAT will provide intensive case management supports to persons at risk of losing their housing due to hoarding behaviour. The Program
Coordinator will oversee a Case Manager, two Peer Facilitators and two sessions of the peer-led Buried in Treasures program annually. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination, collaboration with community partners and social service agencies. This position includes the identification of the level of need for hoarding supports within the community and an evaluation of the program’s ability to respond to this need. This role will require a strong understanding of mental health, case management, and the barriers faced by individuals living with hoarding behaviours and associated housing precarity.

**Program Coordination**
- Facilitate program creation and implementation
- Develop hoarding-related resources and supports to be shared among the sector
- Monitor short-term and long-term outcomes/ impacts of the program
- Develop and oversee program evaluation, including those required by funders
- Conduct client intakes and assessments using the Clutter Image Scale and manage program waitlists
- Work with the Hoarding Task Force to share knowledge and information collected throughout the pilot program
- Work in partnership with community members and partner agencies to contribute to long-term, sustainable service improvements
- Develop partnership agreements with service providers
- In collaboration with the Case Manager, provide eviction mediation support to landlords and clients who are accessing the program
- Develop assessment tools in order to prioritize service requests
- Develop and maintain program visibility being mindful of accessible formats

- Carry out administrative procedures and maintains appropriate records
- Other duties as required

**Staff supervision**
- Provide daily oversight for the program
- Support and assist the Case Manager and Peer Support Workers in problem solving, client support and crisis intervention
- Perform ongoing Support & Supervision as well as regularly scheduled performance appraisals, with support from the Manager of Community &
Partnership Development
- Participate in the hiring, onboarding, orientation, training, supervision and disciplinary process for all members of the team
- Manage sick leave and vacation requests
- Evaluate training needs, identify and coordinate professional development opportunities
- Oversee scheduling and site logistics for the program

**Education and Experience**
- Degree in Social Work (BSW): Social Service Work, or related discipline
- Demonstrate professional leadership experience
- Demonstrate experience working directly with individuals with hoarding disorders
- Experience working with diverse communities or groups who face systemic barriers
- Previous experience in program development considered a strong asset
- Experience advocating for individuals

**Knowledge and Understanding**
- A demonstrated commitment to a diverse and respectful workplace
- Sound understanding of community housing
- Understanding of the Residential Tenancy Act considered an asset
- Understanding of sensitive use of language and imagery in program material

**Skills and Abilities**
- Strong work ethic and commitment to stay accountable to the professional standards and expectations of the organization
- Demonstrated facilitation, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines
- Ability and willingness to work with a culturally diverse population
- Excellent communication skills both orally and written
- Excellent time management
- Ability to work independently, and in collaboration with others
- Documented evidence of formal trainings such as NVCIS
- Current unrestricted registration with regulatory body if applicable
- Training in formal mediation considered an asset
- Complimentary training, education, and work experience are considered assets
- Ability to converse in languages other than English is considered a strong asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 13 months

**Salary**: $62,000.00 per year
