Westcoast Poultry Services has provided chicken catching services for farms across the Fraser Valley for the past 30 years and is looking to add hard working, physically fit individuals to our workforce. Full-time and part-time positions available in Abbotsford.
Start Date: A.S.A.P
TRANSPORTATION SERVICE: - Shuttle service provides transportation from home to farm sites to home again
JOB DESCRIPTION: - Catch and load live chickens into transport cages - Follow strict procedures and training covering animal welfare and work place safety - Respirators, hi-visibility vests, flashlights, and all other PPE is provided.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: - Fast paced - Physical work - Farm atmosphere (dusty, smelly, manure, live animals) - Indoors inside barns out of the weather - Dim to dark lighting
SHIFT DETAILS: - Graveyard/Early Morning Shifts with varying times
- 5-6 nights per week, Sunday nigh to Friday night - Start time: 11:00pm to 2:00 am Finish: between 5:00am to 10am - 75-85 hours bi-weekly
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: - None
COMPENSATION: - $21.00 / Hour (no experience) experienced pay TBA - +Individual and team bonuses every pay period ($80.00 - $200.00) - +Stat Holiday Pay - +Vacation Pay - Wages paid by direct deposit.
REQUIREMENTS: - Steel toe boots - Excellent work ethic - Work well with team members and also independently - Positive attitude - Punctuality - Clear communication with co-workers and management - Ability to work graveyard shift - Ability to be on your feet and mobile and lift, pull, push 40 lbs.
TRAINING: - Provided on site for catching and loading procedures and overall workplace safety - Designated trainer will accompany you throughout the training period and work with you 1 on 1 until both you and your trainer are satisfied with your ability to do the job safely and correctly.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
