**SUMMARY**:
Lantic is currently recruiting for the position of Dispatcher based at our Taber Facility. This position is responsible for ensuring an efficient execution of Lantic Inc Taber’s shipping operations while running and maintaining an organized office and representing the company in a positive manner.
**WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO WILL**:
- Weigh trucks in and out using the truck scale. Ensures trucks have the correct weight for their respective orders, process bills, physically seal the trailers, process incoming manifests and freight.
- Communicate with truck drivers in a respectful and professional manner.
- Maintain daily reporting and analysis to monitor and anticipate inventory purchases based on forecasted sales orders and customer pick up dates
- Process credits, returns, and bill out orders.
- Ensure shipments have the appropriate Certificate of Analysis, permits and other paperwork.
- Enter transfers product from Taber warehouse to external warehouse.
- Ensure there are no short shipments and if so, report immediately to the Manager.
- Ensure shippers are following first in first out protocol and monitor the shelf-life duration report.
- Maintain control of pending orders, back orders and returns.
- Confirm receipt of goods and credit received against purchase orders.
- Communicate with all levels within the organization as well as brokers, customs, and customers.
- Verify all shipping/receiving documents.
- Receive and process orders, invoicing.
- Assign and bill out incoming and outgoing bulk rail cars.
- Provide coverage for Coordinator, Dispatch and Scheduling position when required.
- Perform a variety of administrative functions required by the position.
- Other duties as assigned.
**WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN THE TEAM**:
- Post-Secondary education in Logistics, or Administration is considered an asset.
- 1-3 years of Logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in warehouse management programs (Business Central) would be considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of First-In First-Out inventory management.
- Knowledge of transportation industry would be considered an asset.
- Proficient in computers and computer programs including Microsoft Office.
- Good keyboard and typing skills.
- Ability to handle a high level of correspondence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem solving and organizational skills.
- Good time management.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to connect and communicate with different personalities.
