Ironworker Foreman

Peak Steel Erectors is a steel installation business, working with several general contractors and steel fabricators throughout the lower mainland. We are a fast-growing team of agile and supportive professionals.

**Position Overview**:
As an Ironworker Foreman, you will be leading a crew of 2 to 7 workers at various job sites, overseeing the installation of structural and miscellaneous steel. Your leadership, experience, and technical expertise will be crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in adherence to the highest standards of quality and safety. Work truck is included.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and supervise a crew of 2 to 7 ironworkers, ensuring efficient and safe work practices.
- Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Oversee and participate in the installation of structural and miscellaneous steel.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, including the use of fall arrest systems.
- Conduct daily tool and safety meetings, enforcing safety policies and regulations.
- Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for crew members.
- Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues or challenges that arise.

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 7 years of experience as an ironworker.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience leading a crew.
- Journeyman certification is an asset.
- Valid fall arrest, aerial work platform, and telehandler tickets required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in various outdoor conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Valid driver's license is an asset.

**Salary**: $40.00-$48.50 per hour
