Qualifications:
Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies in Computing Support or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority and have two (2) years of pertinent experience

Other Requirements:
Must be bilingual

Must have an excellent understanding of MS Windows, Mac OS, IOS, and Android

Must understand wired and wireless networks

Must be able to follow standards

Must be able to work individually, and as part of a team with excellent communication skills

Must have a vehicle for commuting between assigned schools

Salary scale as per the IASS’ Collective Agreement:
$22.36 To $25.00 per hour

Nature of the work

The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in assisting computer users and particularly in resolving hardware
- or software-related problems as well as installing and configuring computer equipment and software according to standard procedures.

Characteristic functions

The employee in this class of employment installs, configures computers and peripheral equipment; connects computers, equipment and ensures their compatibility; installs computer parts, such as cards, memory modules or network components; configures the equipment by setting jumpers; cleans, maintains, and carries out minor repairs on the equipment.

The employee installs, configures and upgrades software and in-house programs according to standard procedures; has ability to use utility software, among others, to locate and resolve problems; make backup copies, copies, compresses or destroys files on various media and transfers data from one workstation or organization to another; uses peripheral equipment, such as a digitizer or a printer particularly for mass productions in the order of priority.

**Duties**:
Troubleshoot problems in an efficient and logical manner

Must be able to rebuild a computer from scratch, from an image, or from a deployment server

Must be able to provide support in a one-to-one or BYOD environment

Must be able to provide timely and efficient end user technical support

Strong audio/visual skills are an asset

Qualifications requises:
Être titulaire d’un diplôme d’études collégiales en techniques de l’informatique avec option informatique de gestion ou être titulaire d’un diplôme ou d’une attestation d’études dont l’équivalence est reconnue par l’autorité compétente, et avoir quatre (4) années d’expérience pertinente.

Échelle de salaire selon la convention collective de l’UIES:
22,36 $ à 25,00 $ de l’heure

Nature du travail

Le rôle principal et habituel de la personne salariée de cette classe d’emplois consiste à assister les utilisatrices et utilisateurs d’ordinateurs et notamment à les aider lors de problèmes d’ordre matériel ou logiciel et également à procéder à des installations et des configurations de matériel informatique ou de logiciels conformément à des procédures standardisées.

Attributions caractéristiques

Installer et configurer des ordinateurs et des équipements périphériques; raccorder les ordinateurs et les équipements et s’assurer de leur compatibilité; installer des composants d’ordinateur tels que des cartes, des barrettes de mémoire ou des composants de réseaux; configurer des appareils, notamment en positionnant les cavaliers; nettoyer, entretenir et effectuer les réparations mineures de ces équipements.

Installer, configurer et mettre à niveau des logiciels et des programmes maison conformément à des procédures généralement standardisées; utiliser entre autres, des logiciels utilitaires pour localiser et solutionner les problèmes; prendre des copies de sécurité; copier, comprimer ou détruire des fichiers sur divers supports et transférer des données entre divers postes de travail ou organismes. Utiliser divers appareils périphériques tels qu’un numériseur et une imprimante notamment pour des productions massives dont l’ordre de priorité est à déterminer.
