The Solar Instructor is primarily responsible for leading and managing Solar PV system installations, and providing hands-on training across our North American franchise network.

The ability to teach in-class technical Solar PV and Electrical Code theory courses is an Asset.

They will be independent, knowledgable, willing to travel, and capable of setting a professional example for our franchise network.

They will have a strong passion for renewable energy technology, the ability to work independently, solve problems on the fly, have a desire to travel, and a desire to teach and progress their career as part of our fast-growing company.Position Type:

- Full Time Employment, Permanent.

Wages:

- $40 to $55 / hour, based on experience, with potential performance incentives.Key Duties / Responsibilities:

- Managing Residential and Small Commercial Solar PV Installation Projects.
- Teaching hands-on Solar PV Installation across Canada.
- Solar PV Site Assessments, Sourcing Electrical Materials, and Estimating Costs.
- Installation and Maintenance of Solar PV Systems, EVSE, electrical equipment.
- Providing Solar PV installation support, safety, and quality control
- Must be responsible, independent, willing to travel, and strong leadership skills.
- Additionally, the ability to teach in-class Solar & Code theory courses is an asset.Required Skills / Abilities:

- 5+ years Electrical Experience
- 3+ years Residential Solar PV Installation Experience
- 2+ years Teaching Experience
- Strong Passion and Aptitude for Renewable Energy and Sustainability.
- Strong Technical, Hands-On, Interpersonal, and Communication Skills.
- Physical Ability working at heights and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repetitively.
- Proficiency in Written and Spoken English, Excel Spreadsheets, Microsoft Office.Required Education / Certifications:

- Red-Seal Journeyman Electrician Certification (required)
- Field Safety Representative Certification (required)
- Valid BC Drivers License & Means of Transportation
