**Role Summary**:
Organize and execute the flow of raw materials, parts and finished goods in and out of the plant. Maintain and control Unimotion-Gear's stock of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging supplies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare & dispatch shipments in accordance with customer releases.
- Receive incoming packaging returned from the customer.
- Maintain an inventory count of packaging and segregate damaged packaging.
- Stage goods for shipments and double check shipments against BOL.
- Load multiple shipments on various trucks on time while ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Ensure that all shipments leave on time with the necessary documentation and that an accurate advance shipping notice (ASN) is sent to the customer within the required time successfully.
- Notify the Customer Service Liaison & Supervisor of any low stock conditions.
- Receive material and verify correctness against packing slip, place material in designated locations while achieving First In First Out (FIFO). Unload shipments within the allotted time while delivering material to the designated location.
- Ensure that returnable packaging is sent to suppliers as required.
- Process receiving paperwork according to work instructions and perform data entry in the computer as required.

**Key Qualifications/Requirements**:

- High School Diploma (grade 12) required.
- Forklift license required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of driving a counterbalance forklift and applicable safety legislation related to material handling.
- Six (6) months to one (1) year previous experience in similar role in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of shipping / receiving documents and customs forms
- Strong mathematical skills (grade 12 level).
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of related procedures, instructions and automotive industry EDI, Trans4M or similar MRP system, and knowledge of Barcode scanning.
- Able to exercise initiative, common sense and ability to maintain effective internal and external working relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work to a high degree of accuracy.
- Exceptional English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience with ISO & IATF 16949 requirements.
- Must be self-motivated, with good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
