Position Summary:
Work and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to maintain the University's health and safety objectives on construction sites. Participate in the improvement of health and safety practices on university construction sites.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Advise project managers on health and safety issues;- Identify situations that represent a risk to the university;- Promote the integration of health and safety and participate in the identification of risks with managers during project design;- Carry out inspections and audits of construction in progress;- Represent the project management team's health and safety responsibilities on various university committees;- Validate the compliance of work procedures with the laws and regulations in force;- Analyze and evaluate industrial hygiene specifications;- Analyze and evaluate sampling plans established by industrial hygiene consultants;- Prepare and deliver health and safety training for new members of the project management team;- Participate in the evaluation, revision and improvement of the university's prevention program for construction projects;- Receive and review site visit reports from industrial hygiene consultants;- Participate in the investigation of incidents or accidents;- Establish and develop successful partnerships with all relevant stakeholders. Establish reliable working relationships, including explicit collaboration and consultation with CNESST inspectors assigned to McGill construction sites;- Write reports; develop work methods, create health and safety documentation;- Participate in the continuous improvement of the health and safety practices of the project management team;

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities- Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams;- Experience of working in schools, hospitals or universities;- Experience in renovation projects;- Ability to communicate and maintain good interpersonal relations;- Autonomy, initiative and proactivity;- Proven problem solving and influencing skills- Knowledge of computer tools, MS Office suite.- French and English, written and spoken.

- Bachelor's Degree 3 Years Related Experience /

(MPEX Grade 05) $69,430.00 - $86,790.00 - $104,150.00
