The Bail Supervision and Verification Program is hiring a Full-Time Permanent Bail Supervisor. The position is 35 hours/week, with a potential start date of March 1st, 2023.

The position is cross jurisdictional and will require travel between the Halton and Peel Regions with the possibility of providing coverage for Dufferin region. The position may also require weekend court coverage based on the needs of the bail team. Until further notice: all duties and responsibilities will be carried out in a flexible work model, requiring availability for two or three in-person office days per week which includes one late reporting day.

The Bail Supervisor is responsible for supervision and case management of clients along with court-based responsibilities. Potential clients are screened for program suitability, Bail Supervisor then provides service planning and support to individuals who are on bail and awaiting completion of their matters. Bail Supervisor will address immediate needs and risk factors associated with involvement in the criminal justice system. Bail Supervisors are responsible for enhancing community safety by monitoring and enforcing conditions of Release Orders, including but not limited to preparing warrants.

The Bail Supervisor will assess the individuals needs in order to develop the plan of supervision including but not limited to establishing reporting requirements, maintaining a current understanding of resources/services available in the community, and advocate for clients to relevant service providers within the courts and community.

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of post-secondary education in a related field
- A minimum of 2 years case management experience is preferred
- Understanding of working within a framework of diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Understanding of working with clients involved in the criminal justice system
- Understanding of the criminal justice system
- Knowledge of and proficiency in current approaches for mental health
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written and computer literacy
- Reliable Judgment and maintenance of boundaries is required when dealing with clients and other service providers
- A valid license with routine access to a vehicle required as this position may routinely work out of more than one location

A CPIC - Vulnerable Sector clearance will be required.
