Dozer Operator

Macadam Construction is hiring an experienced and skilled **Dozer Operator** with expertise in operating heavy equipment equipped with _**Topcon GPS control technology**_**.**

**Responsibilities**:
**Equipment Operation**:

- Operate bulldozers and other heavy equipment equipped with Topcon GPS control technology.
- Perform precise grading, leveling, and excavation tasks according to project specifications.

**GPS System Management**:

- Set up and calibrate Topcon GPS control systems on the dozer to ensure accurate positioning and alignment.
- Monitor and adjust the GPS system as needed to maintain accuracy during operation.

**Site Preparation**:

- Prepare construction sites for various projects, including grading, excavating, and compacting surfaces.
- Follow blueprints, survey stakes, and project plans to achieve precise grades and alignments.

**Safety and Maintenance**:

- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating heavy equipment.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.

**Problem Solving**:

- Identify and address issues that arise during equipment operation or related to GPS accuracy.
- Collaborate with supervisors and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.

**Communication**:

- Maintain clear communication with project managers, supervisors, and other team members regarding project progress, challenges, and accomplishments.

**Efficiency and Productivity**:

- Work efficiently to meet project deadlines and maximize productivity.
- Optimize equipment operation to minimize rework and material waste.

**Documentation**:

- Keep accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and daily logs.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to equipment maintenance and repairs.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (Technical or trade school education preferred).
- Proven experience as a Dozer Operator with proficiency in using Topcon GPS control technology.
- Valid heavy equipment operator's license and relevant certifications.
- Strong understanding of earthmoving, grading, and excavation techniques.
- Proficiency in operating bulldozers and other heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of Topcon GPS control systems and equipment setup is a must.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety regulations.
