Industrial Engine Business Manager

Toromont Power Systems is looking for an Industrial Engine Business Manager. The Industrial Business Manager is a key role responsible for the overall growth of our Industrial engine business. The role encompasses sales leadership (growth of new engine sales) and operations leadership (project management/production shop). The Industrial Business Manager is responsible for both the Cat branded business and the Perkins branded business, with the PKI Distribution (sales, project management, production shop, parts, and service) rolling up under his/her responsibility.

**In a typical day, YOU will**:
- The Industrial Business Manager will be accountable for the growth and execution of the new industrial business model for Cat and Perkins new engines sales, project management operations (and product support for Perkins only).
- Provide direction and structure to optimize market segment coverage. Identify key market focus and associated growth opportunities through products, services and implementation of market penetration strategies; territory coverage; business planning; process optimization. Execute the strategy and drive growth and key performance results, in order to effect a smooth transition from the previous model
- Hire and develop team of highly motivated and capable individuals to deliver superior customer experience on a daily basis and implement the industrial business development and growth strategy. Inspire a safe work and customer environment, strong engagement, support and development of the team, ensuring clearly defined roles and performance goals. The Industrial Business Manager will manage the sales team directly and collaborate with the entire dealership to drive industry leading product support and engine sales
- Maintain and grow Industrial Secondary Dealer (ISD) and Perkins Second Level Dealer (SLD) network across territory for Product Support coverage and growth.
- Proactively and effectively leverage and manage the relationship with Perkins to help influence the future direction of the business, including governance meetings
- Engage and support stakeholders across the dealership including Senior Executives, Regional Vice Presidents, Branch and Product Support Managers.
**Must-haves for this role**:
- Minimum 10 years of senior leadership/management experience;
- Prime Product (new equipment sales) and Product Support experience;
- Relevant university degree and/or equivalent business experience; Demonstrated business acumen;
- Industry experience is a significant asset
- Demonstrated strength in a team and individual coaching and development role;
- Demonstrated integrity with the ability to communicate clearly, openly, aligning messages appropriately to audience;
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain trusting and effective relationships with key stakeholders both externally and across our business;
- Demonstrated ability to think and operate both strategically and tactically as required;
- Demonstrated ability to function successfully within a matrix organization;
- Demonstrated understanding of Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) regulations as applicable to internal combustion engines;
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with the ability to think creatively and identify and influence effective solutions;
- Results driven, with effective planning and organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities in a fast-paced, customer focused environment
