Operations Department | Full-Time Position (2 month seasonal) |Monday-Friday | 7am-5pm | July-August

**The Opportunity**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform a variety of general labour tasks at various parks, beaches and green spaces.
- Operate basic hand and power tools including hand mowers, power mowers, tractor mowers, compactors, skid steers, tractors, etc.
- Perform a variety of landscaping and clean-up activities as directed.
- Assist with the maintenance and construction of roads, pavements, trails, road clearing, site clean-up, and traffic control functions.
- Interact with the public in a respectful and professional manner.
- Participate in workplace safety initiatives and meetings as required. Report to work fit for duty.

**Key Qualifications**
- Have experience (and enjoy) working outdoors in various weather conditions and be able to perform medium lifting and moving of objects up to 40lbs.
- Possess and be able to maintain a valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License (current abstract required upon hire).
- Must have a proven ability to interact with others in a calm, courteous and respectful manner.
- Able to understand and execute oral and written instruction.
- This position is considered a safety/ sensitive position. The successful applicant will need to participate in the Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Testing.

The wage for this position starts at $23.06/hr (includes stat and vacation pay) for the first 8hrs

and $31.11/hr for overtime hours. Normal working hours are 9.5 hrs/day (8hrs regular, 1.5hrs OT) from 7am-5pm.
